Connecting stories, one knot at a time.
Considered the oldest known carpet in the world, the Pazyryk carpet, discovered in the Altai Mountains in Siberia, showcased techniques indicating a long history of evolution and experience. This carpet had 36 symmetrical knots per cm², and each square frame was filled by x-shaped patterns. This craftsmanship and heritage is an inspiration in each of our unique, handmade area rugs. As we pay respect to the long line of tradition, we aim to push the boundaries with truly art-inspired area rugs. 36 Knots is a form of self-expression, as well as an expression of artisans around the world.
